Zelenz Consulting offers customized services for organizations at various levels of establishment. We help nonprofits, writers, researchers, and creative entrepreneurs provide the best possible presentation of their work in order to successfully accomplish their goals in the most professional and effective manner.

Hiring a professional who knows foundations, how to manage a nonprofit, as well as what foundations are looking for in a nonprofit in order to facilitate funding is what every nonprofit should focus on in their grant writer search. We offer more than just writing. We ensure you understand what it is you need to do as a nonprofit in order to qualify for grants and can help you properly establish the right protocols and foundational facets in order to be a fully functional nonprofit that would attract donors.

Shella Zelenz has been involved in nonprofit management, education, arts administration, and performance since 1995. Her vast knowledge of these fields has assisted organizations across America and the globe.  Her personal passion is to facilitate the key ingredient to nonprofit success, which is funding.  In her tenure, she has procured millions in grant funding for organizations from various focus areas and countries.

Her work has also facilitated publication in medical and research journals as well as privately published books. Her newly released book, “RootEd: How Trauma Impacts Learning and Society” is available worldwide.

Curriculum Vitae

"I began these skills back in 1995 when I first graduated from Whitworth University with one of my degrees in Arts Administration and was subsequently hired upon graduation to be the Administrative Director (the entire office - I was the only employee outside of the Artistic Directors) of a nonprofit period music organization. Since that time, I have written for numerous schools, nonprofits, arts organizations, medical publications, academic publications, marketing campaigns for for-profit businesses, sponsorships for musicians (Yamaha, among the many) and book editing for various people from all parts of the world (including the Former Attorney General of Nevada). I also have extensive education and experience in music and have written curriculum for numerous virtual schools across the United States, Senegal, and Australia. I hold a Teaching in the Virtual Classroom certification from Fielding Graduate University, where I worked on my EdD in Educational Leadership and Change with a simultaneous focus on Media Studies. I have produced white papers for numerous businesses and education research (including the production of videos to support research). I received the Social Innovation Award from Fielding Graduate University for my research, which eventually became the initial focus of my first book. This deeply researched book included global travel for observations and insights and took 11 years to publish. It was published in July of 2020, and I have since begun numerous additional books on diverse topics, including Nonprofit Basics: Starting and Funding (published in 2022)."

Countries Served and Visited

Shella also travels so that she can better understand the needs of her clients and the areas in which her services can be of help. Through this, she is more aware of on-the-ground resources, more opportunities for funding, and a deeper understanding of the needs of those who are helped.

Not all of these countries have been visited by her, some are countries that her clients serve. She has found that the more she is able to travel, the more she is able to better facilitate the necessary understanding and aid the people and organizations’ funding needs.
